Grant Thornton announced as Ulster University Elks sponsor

Leading business advisory firm Grant Thornton has announced a new sponsorship deal to back Ulster University Elks Hockey Club.
The women’s field hockey club, reigning Ulster Women’s Premier League champions, will now sport new playing jerseys carrying the Grant Thornton logo this season.
Richard Gillan, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Northern Ireland, said:
“We are delighted to be sponsoring the Ulster University Elks, and wish them well for the season ahead.
“Grant Thornton recognises the importance of participation in team sport, especially at university where students are maintaining good physical and mental health whilst also pursuing and balancing academic studies.
“Through our own graduate programmes, we have seen the calibre of talent that emerges from Ulster University. This has been a huge part of the success of our organisation over recent years as we encourage the innovative and progressive perspectives of students.
“We look forward to supporting the students from the Elks and wider Ulster University family in the months and years to come.”
Ulster University Elks is home to local and international players and epitomises Ulster University’s pursuit of welcoming the top talent to Northern Ireland. The 2022/23 1XI squad included seven junior international players with a further five confirmed for this year.

Ulster University Elk’s Hockey Club is located in Ulster University Sports Village in Jordanstown and it is home to four senior women’s teams and a junior club boasting almost 150 players.
